Hitchki was on my wish list for a long time. It is the talk of the town nowadays and it totally deserves all the appreciation. The new branch of ‘Hitchki‘ has just opened in Mirdif City Center 2 months back.
Hitchki is a popular restaurant in Mumbai. They have their two branches in Dubai too. The internationally aspiring brand focuses on regional and eclectic cuisine and introduces elements of the years gone by to the ‘Hitchki’ experience. Each dish has a quirky touch in a way that suits the palate and lifestyle of the current day, by way of contemporary preparation and plating, without compromising on the traditional flavours across India.
The ambience is amazing, with both a retro and modern touch. The staff is also very welcoming and friendly. We were well welcomed by the branch Manager Mr Bijender, who also guided us in choosing the menu. Our servers for the day were Fatima and Nour, both of them hosted us really well.
Now, coming to the food, we started with amazingly pretty looking drinks which were equally good. We opted for:Falooda Freak Shake: An amazing falooda with Kesar, Pista, Kulfi, Milkmaid, Rose vermicelli, Basil seeds, Nuts and Tamjham. It was a drool-worthy drink.
Punjabi Patiyali Lassi: A delicious Kesar Lassi served with a malai peda on top. A total Punjabi swag.
Blue Berry and Honey Milkshake: A blend of blueberry, milk, honey & vanilla ice cream. It was one of the best blueberry drinks I ever had.
Mission Mangal: A healthy drink, which is a blend of beetroot and apple juice along with organic resins. The presentation is like this drink came straight from Mars.
All the four drinks were so so good, 10/10 for this.
Alongside, they were also bringing the starters. We tried outBas Kar Chicken: Butter Chicken along with cashews & cheeslings, served in a steamed Bao bun, a perfect starter and quite filling.
Tiger Jhinga Hai: Popcorn cut prawns, coated and fried with tempura batter and seasoned with yummy Hitchki Dynamite sauce.
Chicken Tikka Hariyali: Chicken tikka with the flavours of coriander and green chilli, served beautifully, wrapped in a butter naan.
All of the starters were perfectly flavoured and served with the best of the presentation.
From the main menu, we choose to haveRaan Biryani: Braised Baby Raan marinated with Kashmiri masala, served on top of Yakhni Pulao, garnished with fried onions, nuts and gold leaf on top, served with the Bhurani raita. Defiantly a royal dish cooked with perfection and a treat for the eyes too.
Chicken Tikka Masala: A well-cooked chicken tikka served in aromatic gravy along with tandoori naan.
Now, the most interesting part of any meal, the Desserts, we tried the gorgeous Baklawa and also the Ras Malai Milk cake
The presentation and taste of Baklawa were just out of this world, never had such delicious Baklawa. The flavour of fresh rose and nuts were amazing. It is a definite must-try.
To sum it all, a highly recommendable place, where you get the best taste along with the best presentation, ambience and good service.
