The first ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ trailer is here and it looks great. The film was delayed and its release was uncertain due to the pandemic. ‘No Way Home’ will be released on December 17, and fans finally got a sneak peak of the movie.
In the trailer Spider Man and MJ are seen on a roof talking about tabloid theories about Peter. We are then shown Peter, MJ and Ned returning to school. Aunt May, Peter and Ned will be constantly monitored by the various agencies looking to prove that Peter killed Mysterio.
While Peter can open up to MJ and need not lie anymore, it’s clear that the scrutiny will be too much for him to deal with. Instead of giving up on Spider-Man, he does have at least one other option.
At this point Doctor Strange enters the scene. Peter and Dr Strange are seen speaking from inside a frozen Sanctum Sanctorum. This sure looked like a joke waiting to happen.
Removing Mysterio’s knowledge of Peter’s identity seems simple enough but Wong directly tells Strange not to cast that particular spell, as it could be a bad idea. Tampering with time is something Wong tends to frown upon. Wong is also seen moving out with his entire luggage. Where to one might wonder. Probably, a lot of things that were not addressed in the first Doctor Strange might be addressed here, as the next shots in the trailer shows Peter and Strange falling through reality, Strange gives Peter the out-of-body experience; all this possibly suggests that Dr Strange might be around for a good part of the film.
The nature of Strange’s spell threatens to completely usurp Peter’s life. If no one knows he’s Spider-Man, that means that Tony Stark never recruited him, he never received the upgraded suits. Maybe the movie has something else to offer entirely; maybe the spell might invite more trouble for Peter to tackle. More over this time Peter has not one but three villains to fight. There is an absolute multiverse chaos to look forward to. What a massive thrill for Marvel fans!
