IPL 2022 :
Former South African cricketer AB de Villiers was one of the biggest names in the Indian Premier League. Still, the long-time Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) announced his retirement from all forms of cricket ahead of the current season.
One of the most versatile batters out there, better known as Mr 360, de Villiers was one of the most important players for RCB over the years, often saving him from tricky situations. Though RCB is running for a place in the playoffs this season, the team has felt his absence, especially in a few defeats where the batting let them down.
Former RCB captain Virat Kohli, who has been with the franchise since the inaugural edition of the IPL, also shared a close bond with the South African maestro. Their partnership in between became iconic for the team.
While talking to ‘Mr Nags’, a character portrayed by Danish Sait, content creator for the franchise, Kohli revealed that he missed de Villiers and dropped a hint on de Villiers’ possible return to RCB.
