Tech giant WhatsApp will soon let users operate the same account on different devices, including mobile phones or tablets. The Meta-owned instant messaging platform does not allow users to chat on multiple phones with the same account.
But according to WABetaInfo, that is about to change. According to the report, WhatsApp will allow users to manage their account on a separate device as a “companion” who will scan the code that appears on your primary device with the official version.

Users won’t even need their primary phone connected to the Internet to access chats on their partner devices, as WhatsApp will download everything for you directly from its servers.
However, there is still no confirmation on whether this update will be visible in the light of day and when it will be made public. It is still not confirmed whether the new feature will be available on iOS.
Meanwhile, the messaging platform already allows users to log in on multiple devices through the ‘Linked Devices feature’, launched in November 2021.
