MyGov has partnered with WhatsApp to offer the new DigiLocker service on its popular instant messaging platform. These services include creating and authenticating DigiLocker accounts and downloading documents such as PAN cards, driving licenses and vehicle registration certificates.
Using WhatsApp’s MyGov help desk, governments want to make government services accessible, comprehensive, transparent and straightforward. “The government is working to promote ease of living through Digital India. WhatsApp’s MyGov help desk is an important step in providing governance and government services to citizens,” the officials said.
Using the MyGov help desk, WhatsApp users can access PAN cards, driving licenses, CBSE Class X passport certificates, vehicle registration certificates (RCs), motorcycle insurance certificates, and Class X and XII ID cards, press release said. Step 3: Send Namaste or Hi to WhatsApp number +91 9013151515
Step 4: The Digilocker Helpdesk will send the list of services it offers
Step 5: Enter the number of the service you want to use
The Digilocker Help Desk will share the document on WhatsApp when the process is complete. However, the service is available to users who store their records in the Digilocker app, available on both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
