Rahul Gandhi appeared before the Enforcement Directorate in the National Herald case. Several Congress workers and leaders sat on a dharna near the central agency office amid the grilling of the Wayanad MP. Congress is holding protests across the country against the Narendra Modi government alleging retaliation. Senior Congress leaders including P Chidambaram, Digvijay Singh, Ashok Gehlot and Bhupesh Baghel took part in the ‘Satyagraha’ march.
Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said the party’s satyagraha march would continue despite Delhi Police refusing permission for the protest. Security has been tightened near the ED office. The Bharatiya Janata Party has hit back at the opposition of the Congress, terming the demonstrations as ‘fake satyagraha’.
