Nick Kyrgios and Stefanos Tsitsipas have both been fined for their conduct during their Wimbledon match.
Kyrgios would have to pay $4,000 (£3,300) for an audible obscenity, while Tsitsipas was fined $10,000 (£8,250) for unsportsman conduct. Tsitsipas received two warnings for hitting the ball into the Court One crowd during the third-round loss.
Kyrgios consistently appealed to umpire Damien Dumusois to default for his first offence for a Greek player.
It is the second penalty of this year’s championship for the 27-year-old Australian, taking his total liability to $14,000 (£11,500) after being sanctioned for another incident at the end of his opening match against Britain’s Paul Jubb.
He and Tsitsipas exchanged insults at their post-match news conferences after Kyrgios won Saturday’s stormtroopers. Kyrgios begins the game on Monday at Wimbledon’s centre court when he takes on American 20-year-old Brandon Nakashima for a quarter-final spot.
