HR tech unicorn Darwinbox has announced a partnership with tech titan Microsoft that aims to enhance the employee experience by innovating workforce, payroll, and talent management.
Microsoft has also made an equity investment in the India-based startup
Darwinbox will use Microsoft Azure to enhance its human capital management SaaS platform. The company has used Microsoft’s data visualization software Power BI to further develop its AI-based predictive analytics engine, making data use more effective and powerful for businesses.
To improve its mobile-first platform and personalize employee experience, Darwinbox will also leverage Microsoft’s workflow platforms such as Teams, Viva, and Active Directory.
Darwinbox was founded in 2015 by Chaitanya Peddi, Jayant Paleti, and Rohit Chennamaneni. The firm works with over 700 companies across 90 countries. Its clients include Tokopedia, Kopi Kenangan, Starbucks, Domino’s Pizza, Sephora, Adidas, and Zara.
In November 2022, Microsoft invested US$4 million in Darwinbox’s series D round. Earlier this month, the startup received US$5 million in extended series D funding from the State Bank of India, bringing its total funding to US$115 million
