Days before the general election, Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister and the BJP’s poll strategist, paid a visit to the Bengaluru residence of Ex- CM BS Yediyurappa for a breakfast meeting. A video of the meeting shows Shah asking Yediyurappa to give the welcome bouquet to his son, Vijayendra. Later, Vijayendra hands it over to the union minister while posing with Shah.
CT Ravi said, “We will not decide the distribution of tickets in the kitchen or on the dining table,” when asked about BJP tickets for different Karnataka seats.
Last night, Amit Shah announced on Twitter that he would visit Bengaluru and participate in the Regional Conference on Drug Trafficking. During the meeting, we will destroy about 9298 kgs of drugs worth ₹1235Cr. We are committed to realizing PM Modi’s vision of a Drug-Free India.”
NO CONFUSION ABOUT AIADMK ALLIANCE: ANNAMALAI AFTER TALKS WITH SHAH
K Annamalai, the BJP chief of Tamil Nadu, met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi on Friday and said, “We had a routine meeting where we discussed ways to help the party grow in the state. We also provided him with feedback regarding the political situation in Tamil Nadu, as a lot is happening in the state.”
“Many local channels reported saying that we had a discussion on whether to continue the alliance with AIADMK. All matters relating to the alliance will be decided by the BJP parliamentary board. There is no confusion regarding the alliance,” Annamalai said.
“The party and I do not have any problem with any other party or any other leader. All parties want to grow. AIADMK and BJP are not the same. We do have differences of opinion. But we have certain common ideologies too,” the BJP chief added.
