According to the Cambodian leader, trade turnover between the two ASEAN member countries will reach US$620 million in 2022, up 24% from US$500 million in 2021. Meanwhile, the prime minister promised to encourage Malaysian companies to buy milled rice and cashews from Cambodia.
At the end of the meeting, the two prime ministers witnessed the signing of two memorandums of understanding on recruitment, employment and repatriation of Cambodian laborers in the domestic and official sector.
Anwar arrived in Phnom Penh on Monday morning for a one-day official visit at the invitation of Hun Sen.
