Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman personally welcomed Arab leaders and officials in Jeddah shortly before the scheduled convening of the Arab League summit.
Arab leaders and officials, including Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad and Jordan’s King Abdullah II. He arrived in Saudi Arabia’s Jeddah on Friday to attend the 32nd Arab League summit.
UAE Vice President Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Kuwait’s Crown Prince Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Djibouti’s President Ismail Omar Guelleh, Prince Rachid of Morocco, Iraq’s Prime Minister Mohammed Shiaa’ al-Sudani and Algerian Prime Minister Ayman Benabderrahmane also arrived in the Kingdom earlier in the day.
Other officials including Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and leaders from Oman, Mauritania, Tunisia, Bahrain, Lebanon, Palestine and Yemen, arrived in Jeddah on Thursday.
The Saudi Crown Prince welcomed the leaders and officials and posed for photos with each individual before the attendees gathered for a group photo
The 32nd Arab League summit kicked off shortly after with Algerian Prime Minister Ayman Benabderrahmane delivering the opening remarks before handing over the rotating presidency of the Arab League to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
